Dota 2 Basics Part 4: Master the Jungle [A guide to pulling and stacking]
Fundamentals of any jungle support.
Red Bull E-Sports Zone (RBEZ) is proud to bring you another guide for Dota 2 and today we will talk about the pulling and stacking.
Pulling is the act of manipulating the normal path that a lane creep would take. This can be done through pulling aggro, attack or being close to creeps, from neutral camp creeps to your own allied creeps in lane. There are two reasons to do this in a proper manner. Firstly you deny the enemy offlaner precious gold and experience. Secondly you want gold and experience for the poor supports.
Radiant small camp - Pull south at 13-14/43-44.
Radiant large camp - Pull towards the diagonal southeast path when your allied creep wave reaches your tier 1 tower
Radiant pulls Dire large camp - Cut down westernmost tree and pull west when your allied creep wave reaches your tier 1 tower
Dire small camp - Pull north at 13-14/43-44
Dire pulls Dire large camp - Cut down westernmost tree and pull northwest when your allied creep wave reaches your tier 1 tower
Dire pulls Radiant large camp - Cut down the middle tree on the eastern side, pull east when your allied creep wave reaches your tier 1 tower.
As a tip for pulling small camps, try to pull through to deny the whole creep wave. If you do a single pull on an easy camp it will push your lane, allowing the enemy to gain experience and gold.
To pull through for Radiant, destroy this tree.
Then pull the Radiant large camp exactly before the last neutral creep is about to take damage.
The Dire small camp pull through to the Dire large camp is similar to the radiant pull - minus the need for cutting a tree.
Now stacking is important if you have a hero on your team that can farm them later. This will immensely help to boost their gold and experience. To stack any camp just pull the camps at the timing indicated on the picture away from their neutral spawn boxes. You can enable this in the options menu and will be able to see them when you press the Alt key.
Till next time,
